The Work Order, a Critical Component of the CMMS
Work order: A group of maintenance actions, identified by a work order code. One work order may contain preventive, conditional, or breakdown maintenance actions, to be performed on one or more pieces of equipment.
Work Orders and Senergy, an overview

How Senergy handles Work Orders, an overview:
In Senergy, once a maintenance action has been linked to a piece of equipment, it must be activated (i.e. given an initial date) so that the system knows when to automatically generate the next work order.
Senergy automatically generates preventive work orders on a weekly basis. You need only review and print them. By default Senergy inserts the current week number in the “Wanted week” field. You can change the week for which you wish to print work orders and click on the “Query” button. Senergy presents all work orders that are due or overdue for that week (overdue are in red).
Senergy Associated Meter for Conditional Maintenance and for Activating Maintenance Action. Once the meter is defined it must be linked to the conditional maintenance action. Once the maintenance action knows what meter it refers to, Senergy will automatically generate a conditional work order when the meter value is reached or surpassed.
Senergy automatically generates conditional work orders when a meter value is reached or surpassed. You need only review and print them.
Senergy will create the work orders in .pdf format and display them on-screen. You can either save them on your computer, on your network, or print them using your browser’s print function.
Once the work is completed, all work orders must be closed in the Intervention report screen. This screen allows you to record the details of the completed maintenance action (time, used items, employee, etc.).
Maintenance Routes
A route is a combination of multiple maintenance actions that should be completed as one intervention. Creating a route allows you to synchronize the maintenance of an equipment grouping so that all the work can be done simultaneously. You can also close the work order for each piece of equipment in the route in one single step.
Closing all the work orders in a route. Once all the work orders in a route are completed they can be closed in one step from a dedicated screen.
PLEASE NOTE: The employee’s time and the cost of parts noted for the route will be split evenly between all the work orders. If you do not want these costs to be split equally between all the work orders of a route you must close each work order individually.
